Hi! I’m Laurence Bradford, creator of Learn to Code With Me. Side gigs hold a special place in my heart, because that’s how my own journey in tech began. 


When I began learning to code, I worked on a bunch of different side gigs. They allowed me to practice my tech skills in a hands-on way, earn an income while I traveled, and even start Learn to Code With Me (as a self-made side gig!).


My side gig experiences were so valuable in building my expertise and confidence as I transitioned into the world of tech. (Because I’m no natural-born computer whiz—I was a history major!) But from assisting a web developer to writing tech-related SEO content to building websites for clients, each of my gigs had something new to teach me: not just abstract concepts, but real, practical skills.


I believe that side gigs can help you accelerate your journey into tech too, which is why I’m excited to share this workshop with you today!
